Features

Lightweight Karuba Core
Karuba is a very lightweight wood, but it offers flex and vibration absorption, making it ideal for touring skis that are light on the ascent but deliver performance on the descent.

Full Strength Sidewall
Full sidewall construction places a protective material along the sides of the wood core, between the edge and topsheet, providing maximum edge grip, stability and durability.

Freeride Flat Tail
The traditional design with a flat tail is built for stability at speed, excellent edge grip and control in aggressive turns. Brought into the modern era, it has minimal rocker that makes the ski easy to pivot in variable conditions and prevents catching in fresh snow.

Elliptical Sidecut
Elliptical Sidecut is created with a larger radius underfoot and a smaller radius at the tip and tail. The larger underfoot radius facilitates pivoting, while the smaller tip and tail radius makes turn initiation easier. This type of sidecut allows skiers a variety of angles, turn lengths and binding mounting positions.

Full carbon Weave
Between 8 and 12 carbon layers wrapping the wood core are laid unidirectionally to provide extra stability without adding weight. Each carbon layer is woven into fiberglass to provide stiffness and durability along the full length of the ski.

Anti Chip Micro Cap
Micro-cap construction is a hybrid between premium full sidewall construction and durable, lightweight cap construction. Micro-cap provides excellent edge grip and torsional stability, and the ski's topsheet covers the sidewall very well in the area
of the joint that is prone to chipping.

Mustache Flex
This type of flex is very good for most skiers. You enjoy stability behind and in front of the binding for good edge grip, then the flex is progressive in the tip and tail to better absorb impact in variable snow. This type of flex makes initiating and finishing turns easier.

XL 2.5MM Edges
The 2.5mm edges are thicker than the standard 1.8mm edges, and the 35% increase gives the skis extra durability to support an aggressive skiing style.

Titanal binding plate
when you are on a backcountry adventure, you need to use gear you can rely on. The titanium underfoot is placed on the lightweight core to ensure that the binding screws are stable on the ski. This design is suitable for touring and alpine bindings, providing durability to the skis.

Sustainable Wood Core
The wood materials used by Faction are sourced near the production factories to reduce the carbon footprint caused by transporting them. The materials are FSC-certified, meaning the wood is harvested sustainably.
