K2 Sky Pilot Snowboard 26/27

K2 Sky Pilot Snowboard is developed in collaboration with Sage Kotsenburg for riders seeking freedom of movement, control and performance on technical terrain, in powder and on the slopes. The slightly wider construction, Tapered Directional shape and Volume Shift technology provide a larger effective surface area, allowing riders to choose a shorter, more manoeuvrable board without sacrificing flotation or stability.

The Directional Combination Camber profile offers an excellent balance of precision, stability and response, suitable for intermediate, advanced and expert riders. The medium flex keeps the board playful enough for quick movements but provides the support needed when speed and terrain become more demanding.
3D Base Contour technology uses a three-dimensional 3 mm contour in the nose and tail, progressively lifting the contact points. This spoon shape helps the board deflect soft snow, facilitates turn initiation and allows easier pivoting in powder while maintaining predictable behaviour on hard snow.
The S1 Core combines bamboo, Aspen and Paulownia for an optimal balance of strength, low weight and vibration damping. Bamboo stringers running from nose to tail contribute to elasticity, durability and vibration absorption, while Paulownia reduces weight and improves manoeuvrability. Aspen and bamboo areas positioned at 30° angles beneath the bindings increase strength, edge-to-edge response and pressure distribution along the edge.

Triax Fiberglass lamination uses three layers of fibers oriented at 45°, 45° and 0°, providing torsional stiffness, increased stability and better edge grip. The result is precise, responsive performance both longitudinally and torsionally.
Carbon Y Beam adds energy, stability and pop to the tail area, while transferring energy to the contact points in the nose. This gives the board effective edge pressure and stability without introducing unnecessary torsional stiffness.
The Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 base is made from a very hard, fast sintered material, designed to retain wax for longer and provide fast, consistent glide. The Stone Finish complements the performance-focused character of the base.
The Hybritech construction removes unnecessary sidewall material at the nose and tail and uses a 3D capped edge to improve the bond between the fiberglass layers. This construction helps reduce swing weight and increase board durability.
Volume Shift technology redistributes the board's surface area from the nose and tail towards the waist. This reduces swing weight and the risk of toe/heel drag while retaining the float needed in deep snow. For an optimal experience, K2 recommends choosing a shorter length than for a conventional board.
Sky Pilot adopts an All-Gender construction, with sizes, flex and widths adapted for a wide range of riders. It is available in lengths from 148 cm to 163 cm.
