Nidecker The Mosquito Men's Snowboard 26/27

Nidecker The Mosquito 26/27 Men's Snowboard is a compact, powerful and fast surf-inspired board designed for riders looking for aggressive turns, precise edge control and a surf-like feeling on snow. The Mosquito is the shortest model in Nidecker's surf-inspired quiver and can be ridden approximately 10 cm shorter than a conventional all-mountain snowboard.

Its compact outline and aggressive sidecut allow fast direction changes and precise carving. The board is designed to perform across powder, groomed slopes, icy hardpack and spring slush. The Surfy CamRock profile combines extended rocker in the nose with regular camber through the rest of the board and a shorter tail, allowing the rider to glide over powder and initiate turns from the back foot.

The stiff 4/5 flex is aimed at experienced riders who can take advantage of its fast response, razor-sharp edge control and powerful ollies. The Light Core combines poplar and paulownia wood for an ultra-light construction, while hardwood beech stringers positioned through the center increase overall strength and enhance pop.

The exclusive Power Rails construction wraps the topsheet over the rounded wood core until it meets the slim sidewall, providing immediate power transfer and increased edge grip. Triax Plus fiberglass is woven in three directions at 45 degrees and uses different glass densities above and below the core to deliver consistent torsional flex, increased pop and lightning-fast response.

Pop Carbon places carbon fiber between the inserts and the nose and tail to increase ollie power while reducing unwanted chatter. Booster Bars use lightweight alloy inlays on each side of the board to instantly transfer rider input into the edges for an extremely direct and responsive feel.

Orbital Cushioning integrates shock-absorbing urethane around the inserts to provide a smoother ride and reduce foot fatigue when charging hardpack or landing aggressively.

The Absorbnid topsheet further reduces unwanted vibrations for a smoother and more comfortable ride. The N-9000 Sintered base is made from an extremely dense material with a high carbon content to reduce friction and deliver race-level speed when properly maintained and waxed.

The 4x2/6 insert system uses six rows of inserts positioned at 2 cm intervals, providing a wide range of stance adjustment and compatibility with snowboard bindings available on the market.

Metallic, Hot Stamp and Diecut Base graphic details complete the premium character of the board with sparkling, holographic and sharply defined visual elements.
